A Salisbury, Maryland woman was arrested twice Tuesday morning for intoxicated driving, the second time she had her four year old child in the car.

Maryland State Troopers stooped Ann Marie Abdulin, 23, around 4:30am on State Route 50 for a traffic violation. They determined that she was intoxicated, and her child was in the vehicle at the time.

Further investigation, revealed that she had just been released from jail on a previous charge. She was arrested in another county around 1:30am for intoxicated driving. She was processed and then released to a sober driver. With the assistance of a DUI attorney, some offenders can get a quicker release.

Police believe the sober driver took her back to her vehicle and allowed her to drive off, this time with the child. The police are planning on charging the sober driver.

Abdulin is being charged with driving a motor vehicle within 12 hours of being arrested for DUI, negligent driving and other minor traffic violations. She is also facing an assault on a police officer charge, but the details of that incident haven’t been released.

Any DUI lawyer can confirm that any impairment can result in an arrest and can have dire consequences. Judges are getting tougher and tougher on people who break the DUI laws. This offence can lead to jail time, a loss of driving privileges, and heavy fines.

Hiring a DUI attorney with extensive practice can make it possible to have charges reduced and minimize the penalties.
